Scrum smells bad when you use it for a while.
Now, we know the reason.
I am not going to lay you. I was seduced by scrum years ago.
I blame managers and other people for “not doing scrum well”.
But after some time using Scrum I started to feel something odd.
I didn't know how to put it in words, but inside me, there was a little voice whispering “Hey, this scrum thing seems like the illusion of being self-organizing but you are working harder and making bosses very happy”.
Now, we know the reason behind this.
Agile doesn’t work. It is a scam.
Or, at least something so utopic, it is impossible to be implemented with real people… and real bosses.
Well, you may think, that this guy Cliff Berg is telling this just to sell his new thing “Agile2”. Ok, it is a legitimate thought.
But, his rumbling about how Agile and Scrum have failed miserably is correct.
My experience with Scrum
I first heard of Scrum (or Agile) in 2011. Back then I was young and eager to believe in whatever looked shiny and new. Specially when it comes to project management, where Waterfall, was the only way of doing things.
